About
First, a little history.....
Evans Notch Lodge and Cabins were established in 1938 by Cy Cole, who once owned much of the land at the northern end of the Evans Notch road (now scenic Route 113, which follows the path of the Wild River and a turn-of-the-century logging railbed).
Originally positioned directly on busy Route 2, Cy's efficiency cabins (and the motel rooms added later in the 1950s) offered a convenient and scenic rest stop for the growing number of automobile tourists vacationing in the White Mountain National Forest.
When we purchased Evans Notch Lodge in the fall of 2017, the property had been vacant for several years, and you'll probably see some evidence of that benign neglect when you visit…. but we're determined to bring it back to all its vintage glory, and fill it with the laughter and fun of groups as often as we can.
Today, Evans Notch Lodge has been reborn as a vacation rental property for groups - so gather your family or friends and make a plan to visit our secret, unspoiled corner of the White Mountain National Forest!
